Maria Rosa DELÉTRAZ-CRIVELLARI has been working as a translator since 1992, after obtaining a degree in translation from Geneva’s School of Translation and Interpreting, followed by a specialisation in Terminology (2000). In 1997, she was granted the title of sworn translator by the State of Geneva. Ever since, she has collaborated regularly with Swiss courts and authorities as a court translator and interpreter. From 2005 to 2010, she was chair of the Swiss Association of Sworn Translators (ASTJ) and a member of the Sworn Translators Examination Board. She also worked as a translator-terminologist and quality manager in a translation agency for 20 years, and was in charge of overseeing major translation projects. She has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Geneva since 2008. She teaches translation methodology and pragmatic translation courses at the Bachelor level, as well as legal translation courses at the postgraduate level. She continues to work as a sworn translator for Swiss law authorities and professionals, and as a freelance translator for the luxury goods industry.
