“Interpreting law: A cross-examination by lawyers and translators” (2025: 10) is the result of a collaboration between the editorial board of Jurisprudence - Revue critique (JRC) at the Antoine Favre Centre for Legal Studies of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc, represented by Alexandre GUIGUE (also a member of Transius), and two further members of our Centre: Fernando PRIETO RAMOS and Marie-Hélène GIRARD. The issue gathers eight papers by comparative law and legal translation scholars with a focus, on the one hand, on the interpretation methods applied in law and translation, and, on the other, on the relationship between comparative law and translation.

It includes two papers by Transius members on the interpretation of multilingual law in Canada (Jean-Claude GÉMAR) and at the Court Justice of the European Union and the World Trade Organization (Fernando PRIETO RAMOS in collaboration with Albert MORALES MORENO, former member of the Centre, in the framework for the LETRINT project).
