Based on a PhD thesis completed by Aurélien RIONDEL at the Transius Center in 2023, La révision des traductions. Une approche sociale provides a state-of-the-art overview of revision in French. It is based on 45 in-depth interviews conducted with professional translators about this key quality-assurance practice. It addresses the main facets of revision, including revision policy, revision methods, perceptions of revision, and the social dimension of the activity. At a time when the rise of AI appears to pose a threat to professional translators, this monograph seeks to identify avenues for effective, human-centred revision. It is available in open access.
