Cornelia Staudinger holds a Bachelor in Transcultural Communication from the University of Vienna and a Master in Specialised Translation, with a focus on legal translation, from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (FTI) of the University of Geneva. After her studies, she worked for several years as a translator, copywriter and communications coordinator in the Swiss private sector. From 2018 to 2021, she was a research assistant in the German Unit of the FTI’s Department of Translation and an editorial assistant for the scholarly journal Parallèles. Since 2021, she has been working in the Swiss Federal Chancellery’s Central Language Services, primarily in the areas of legislative drafting, translation and language policy. In 2025, she completed her PhD in Translation Studies at the FTI. In her thesis, entitled “Zwischen Sprache(n) und Recht: Prüfung und Revision mehrsprachiger Gesetzgebung in der Schweiz”, she explored the review and revision of multilingual legislation in Switzerland.
