Cornelia STAUDINGER holds a Bachelor in Transcultural Communication from the University of Vienna and a Master in Specialised Translation, with a focus on legal translation, from the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting (FTI) of the University of Geneva. After her studies, she worked for several years as a translator, copywriter and communications coordinator in the Swiss private sector. From 2018 to 2021, she was a research assistant in the German Unit of the FTI’s Department of Translation and an editorial assistant for the scholarly journal Parallèles. In early 2021, she joined the Swiss Federal Chancellery’s Central Language Services. Her research focuses on procedures at the interface between translation, quality assurance and the law. In her doctoral thesis, provisionally entitled “Zwischen Sprache und Recht: Revision und fachliche Prüfung mehrsprachiger Gesetzgebung in der Schweiz”, she explores the revision and review of multilingual legislation in Switzerland.
