Alexandre GUIGUE’s research focuses on British public law, comparative law and legal translation. His PhD thesis dealt with budgetary law from a historical-comparative perspective. His bilingual and bicultural background have led him to study and translate American and British authors such as John Austin, Duncan Kennedy and Jeannie Suk. He cofounded the journal Jurisprudence - Revue Critique with the aim of giving access to different ways of reflecting on law in a globalised environment and fostering critical studies. He has organised various conferences and participated in several scientific events related to this field at universities such as Harvard (United States) and McGill (Canada). He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Savoy Mont Blanc, where he teaches constitutional law and public finances, as well as a lecturer at the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Geneva, where he teaches law at the postgraduate level. In the past, he has taught and given conferences in France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He holds a PhD in Public Law.
